a) The Minimum charge
This is inclusive of up to 60 minutes at your property. This is generally used for small jobs like changing a light fitting or for when we are investigating a fault.
b) The Fixed cost
This gives you the security of knowing what you’re paying (I will always quote you first and give you a list of works to be carried out) When I give you a fixed cost for your works, this normally requires a pre-site survey. While discussing with you what works are required, I have to use my years of expertise to visually assess your existing electrical system. Unfortunately, 99% of the time cables are hidden in the walls or under floorboards, this makes it very hard to know if there are any preexisting faults. Just because it works, doesn’t mean its safe! Before I carry out any works I will test the circuit and if everything is okay and then I will proceed. If I find any issues, I will discuss with you a plan to move forward.
4. You always receive a quality service

As your local registered electrician, we are required to install to the current up to date regulations. You may only want an additional socket, however:
- Do you have RCD protection?
- Is it the right type of RCD?
- Do you have bonding?
All these things can contribute to your costs, whilst providing you safety and compliance with
current regulations. You will receive a detailed quotation explaining what is required, and I would be happy to go through this with you. I don’t claim to be the cheapest electrician in the area, and I don’t expect to work for everyone, however I assure you of a quality service.

I will arrive promptly and notify you when I am on route.
